Your mission
• You will take on the professional leadership of the General Ledger team and ensure efficient and high-quality general ledger accounting.
• You are responsible for the preparation of monthly financial reports according to IFRS for several international entities.
• You are responsible for preparing annual financial statements in accordance with local accounting and tax regulations for multiple international entities.
• You manage and monitor general ledger processes, including provisions, accruals, lease accounting under IFRS 16, intercompany reconciliations, and fixed asset accounting.
• You work closely with internal departments (e.g., AP/AR team, Group Accounting, Controlling, Treasury) as well as with external partners (e.g., tax advisors and auditors).
• You continuously improve processes, policies, and controls within the general ledger function and ensure their implementation in day-to-day operations.
• You actively support the implementation and enhancement of ERP systems and financial tools, particularly in the context of automating finance processes.
• You contribute to group-wide finance projects and bring your expertise to process harmonization and standardization initiatives.
• You ensure that all accounting activities comply with legal requirements, group policies, and internal compliance standards.
• You report directly to the Director of Accounting & Group Accounting.
Your profile
• You have successfully completed a degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a comparable field – ideally with a focus on accounting.
• You have several years of experience in general ledger accounting in an international environment, ideally with at least two years in a leadership role.
• You have in-depth knowledge of HGB, tax law, and IFRS, along with hands-on experience in preparing standalone and consolidated financial statements.
• You bring experience with ERP systems – knowledge of SAP Business ByDesign and LucaNet is a plus.
• You work in a structured, solution-oriented manner and possess a strong understanding of complex accounting matters.
• You have excellent written and spoken German and English skills; additional languages are a plus.
• You demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, assertiveness, and a team-oriented mindset, and you enjoy developing and supporting team members.
